Today's episode features Micah Walk who is a singer/songwriter based out of Springfield, Illinois. He has released multiple albums both as a solo act and as a member of the midwest Americana trio The Deep Hollow whose brand of stripped down harmony driven tunes began by winning the American Songwriter Song Contest in 2014. Micah’s latest album, Among the Stars (2021), was produced by Sadler Vaden, Grammy-winning member of Jason Isbell & the 400 Unit. It was recorded during the height of the pandemic a time in which many full time musicians like Micah found themselves unable to tour and work like usual, but the silver lining for Micah was being able to pull together an A list team of musicians to bring his songs to life.
