James Treichler / Wave Upon Wave
Today I’m sharing a conversation with my friend James Treichler. James is a producer, audio engineer, drummer and multi-instrumentalist based in Champaign, IL. He owns Wave Upon Wave studio and is a house engineer at Earth Analog Studios with freelance experience at many studios around the country. He’s worked on corporate projects that include brands like iDisney, Zenimax, Freakonomics, and worked with bands like Hum… But more than that, James has a way of helping artists bring out the best in their music and really plugging into what sounds they are wanting to create in their songs. He’s really thoughtful and intentional in the way that he works to best serve what he’s helping to create.
