Todays episode features Karen Bridges and Clint Thomson of the Americana group Stone & Snow. The duo formed in 2012 and began their collaboration filled with close harmonies and thoughtful lyrics and named it with that a nod to the mountain landscapes of the West– Stone & Snow.
They just earned the title “Best Folk/Soul Artist” at the 2022 Richmond International Film + Music Festival, and are celebrating their new release Delicate and Wild that was recorded with Grammy-nominated producer David Mayfield and just came out on March 31st. On top of all that Karen and Clint are passionate about elevating women in music. With the underground listening room they created called The Hallowed Hall, their work collecting data on the gender balance in their local scene, and Karen’s involvement as an instrument instructor for young girls with Girls Rock!
